Adult and Teen Therapist for Body Image, Grief, Chronic Pain
Welcome, feel free to get to know me...
As a young person, I struggled with my mental health, a lack of support in my community, and navigating significant losses of my peers. All these experiences have etched themselves in my memory. I remember feeling like there wasn’t anything or anyone that could really hold me and support me where I lived.
Coming from Northern British Columbia, I’m intimately familiar with the common experience of living somewhere semi-rural and having access to very few options. This experience drives so much of what I do now.
🌙 I am a white, settler with European ancestry from Scotland, Ireland, and Ukraine and benefit from the ongoing impacts of colonialism.
🌙 I am fat and a person who has a lifelong experience of fatness.
🌙 I’m a cisgender woman, queer/bisexual.
🌙 I have lived experience of disordered eating, sexual violence, chronic pain, depression, and anxiety.
My social locations
I want to build connections with people, and build the type of support network and community that didn’t exist for me when I was growing up.
I love nothing more than witnessing the folks I work with shift their trust, and their sense of self, and cultivate a sense of community that feels more aligned for them. I feel so grateful that I get to build community through my work.
I have spent my career providing dignified support to diverse communities and I am committed to showing up with that same standard for all of my clients.
